Worry about Vonage?

Vonage patent infringement

There was some debate recently about the case of Vonage. Vonage will survive? And will put Verizon Vonage of business? A bit of recent history lets you know where it comes from these questions.

Shortly after the suit against Verizon Vonage went public in mid-2006, Vonage for infringing on seven patents Verizon's own technology, to complete telephone calls over IP between users and people who use public phones traditional network switch, and authenticate callers over IP Internet, to verify the authenticity of the accounts connected via Internet Protocol ", and fraud protection, providing enhanced features, using Wi-Fi phones with voice over Internet protocol, and monitor the use of the caller via the Internet Protocol. Vonage denies that is clear and defended it vigorously, but so far courts swayed towards Verizon. Vonage publicly state their advanced solutions in the field of development or in the event of victory Verizon.

What does this mean for you?

What does this mean for you as a customer or potential customers. The worst that can happen is that winning Vonage and Verizon have to spend millions of dollars implementing solutions that set.

Instead, Vonage may go bankrupt and file for bankruptcy and then come back immediately to the market via the internet or Vonage can win and continue to serve the largest provider of VoIP there. If you are a current Vonage customer and I was satisfied with the service they provide then there is no real reason to move, but for new customers this case no doubt cause concern for Vonage. It is hard to market with specter hangs over patent infringements for you.

Vonage is now the largest provider of VoIP with 2.5 million subscribers, in terms of expertise in the market for a VoIP provider that can not be his last match. Vonage has plans for both residential and plans of work consisting of a wide range of features of call waiting for Enhanced 911, by fax to a toll-free phone numbers and much more. Vonage certainly enough features to keep the average phone user happy, regardless of whether a small business or residential telephone.

If you are in doubt, read the reviews of Vonage existing customers or click here to see the providers that at least the same features as Vonage. As you will see there are not many service providers compete with Vonage in terms of features, but these reviews are not the best.
